Saving lives in the pipeline industry

Health & Safety Workshop (& Webcast)
Tuesday, 23th October 2018
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Geneva, Switzerland

In spite of substantial efforts made by the pipeline industry in health and safety, IPLOCA members still reported 9 fatalities for 2017, most of them considered as being preventable by the IPLOCA HSE & CSR Committee.

Using members' experience and data, the 2018 workshop will cover technical and organisational aspects of safety with a specific focus on fatal events reported.

This workshop is intended for all pipeline experts.

The agenda for the meeting will include international speakers from the industry. The afternoon group work will focus on tools and strategies to save lives in the pipeline industry. It will be followed by a dinner in a local restaurant.

The decision to organise last year's workshop in conjunction with the Novel Construction Initiative Fall Session proved to be successful so the same set up will be repeated this year.

In the same line, IPLOCA will once again offer a webcast to those who are unable to attend in Geneva. People choosing this option will be able to watch most of the presentations live and ask some questions in writing. To review the specific agenda, please click here.

You can already test the webcast option on this link. If you are unable to watch the video or experience any issue with the sound system, please try to use a different web browser and/or contact your IT expert.
