Bin Quraya awarded 56″ pipeline replacement project
Bin Quraya Co. Ltd has been awarded a major project to replace the 56” Abqaiq-Yanbu AY-1L Pipeline Section 7. The pipeline, operated by Aramco, is part of the East-West Crude Oil Pipeline system.
The scope of works comprises the replacement of an existing section of the 56” pipeline from pump station 11 to the Yanbu Crude Oil Terminal (YCOT) with all associated facilities such as main line valve stations, scraper traps and jump overs. The new pipeline section will be installed in a mountainous area in the East West corridor. The objective of the project is to replace the defective sections (Section 7) of the existing 56” Abqaiq to Yanbu pipeline to maintain the Saudi Aramco Maximum Sustainable Capacity (MSC) of Arabian Light (AL) and Arabian Super Light (ASL) Crude Oil. The approximate length of Section 7 is 193 km. The design of the replaced sections will be based on the existing operating parameters
