DENSO Group Germany awarded field joint coating contract for TERÉGA’s REVA project
TERÉGA, one of France’s two leading gas network operators with a pipeline network stretching over 5,000 km, chose DENSO Group Germany’s innovative corrosion protection solutions for the REVA project. The project involves replacing 71 km of an existing pipeline, built in 1974, between Villariès and Albi with a new 8inch gas pipeline.
The SEALID® All-in-1 Tape was selected to protect 1,000 weld seams, as it provides both corrosion prevention and mechanical protection in a single product with just one wrapping process, without the use of primer. By using this solution, TERÉGA is able to work twice as fast as with previous methods and reduce its carbon footprint by more than half. The project will be completed in 2026 and will represent a new milestone in sustainable and CO2-friendly corrosion protection for pipelines.
