Specialty Polymer Coatings is a leading formulator, manufacturer and supplier of state of the art, 100% solids, no VOCs, liquid epoxy and polyurethane coatings.

SPC began formulating epoxies in 1989 with the development of SP-2888® RG Brush and Spray Grade. After extensive testing, it was approved for use in 1990 by a major Canadian pipeline company and used on girth welds replacing a competitor’s epoxy that was difficult to apply in a single coat to the specified thickness.

Extensive independent testing by pipeline companies, in the 1990s, verified the initial claims by SPC that SP-2888® RG performed as well as or better than the Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE). In the late 1990s, SP-2888® RG was used as a rehabilitation coating on a large gas transmission pipeline in North America. Since, Specialty Polymer Coatings has a myriad of coating systems which are utilized extensively in the pipeline industry, on railway cars, lining for tanks and sewage digesters, on steel structures, marine docks and ship applications. Manufactured to the highest quality standards, SPC’s performance coating products are available in a number of configurations to accommodate various project applications.

As SPC has grown, so has the scope of our coating and linings solutions. Today SPC has evolved from being a small Canadian company to a worldwide leader in 100% solids liquid coating technology.
