Gunnar earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Process Engineering in 2001 and received a Doctorate in High-Pressure Process Engineering in 2005 from Ruhr University Bochum. He joined Open Grid Europe GmbH in 2008 as Project Manager for Pipeline Construction and later assumed the role of Head of Asset and Investment Management. Since 2015, he has served as Head of Technical Projects.
