Cyntech started in 1981 as a small, client-focused company within the Alberta energy sector. Recognized in 2010 by Alberta Venture Magazine as one of Alberta’s top 25 fastest growing companies over $20 million, Cyntech has since grown to become a relevant player in both the North American and global markets.

Innovative pipeline contractors and operators are continually looking for ways to reduce construction costs and social impacts. While the majority of pipeline operators and contractors in North America, Australia, and SE Asia have embraced the use of pipeline anchors as a replacement for traditional concrete weighting for buoyancy control and pipeline stability, there is a lack of familiarity with the technology in other parts of the world.

During this webinar, Randy Robertson, General Manager at Cyntech explained the concept of pipeline anchoring, while giving a brief summary of the engineering, application, and installation. The direct and indirect (social) cost advantages were also presented.
