The 2018 IPLOCA Excellence in Project Execution Award was presented during the Annual Convention held in London in recognition of an outstanding project execution in onshore or offshore pipeline, or facilities construction.

Fatih Can, IPLOCA Innovation Committee Chair, made a presentation on the work of the Innovation Committee and on the Excellence in Project Execution Award, in presence of Andrew Ball, 2017-2018 IPLOCA President.

Winner

Gulf Interstate Engineering Company

The Excellence in Project Execution Award Adjudication Committee decided to award it to Gulf Interstate Engineering Company, represented by Doug Evans and Criss Shipman for the Sabal Trail Transmission project, a 515-mile interstate NG P/L System in a geographically complex and environmentally sensitive route, with numerous workspace constraints.

Runner up

Shawcor

In recognition of its members' commitment the Committee made one further award to the following runner-up: Shawcor, represented by John Tikkanen for the Sur de Texas - Tuxpan Coating Project, a 690 Km pipeline with over 56'000 field joint coatings carried out under a tight deadline.
