In 2019 Laurini Officine Meccaniche was contacted by a customer to excavate a trench in a seabed at a depth of up to 3 meters.  The project seemed difficult but Laurini decided to take on the challenge and proposed the excavator, a Cat model 374 with a riser of 3 meters connecting the track car body and upper structure.

The customer accepted this proposal and placed an order for 3 units. A team of two engineers worked for 3 months to design all aspects and modifications for this specific project with an emphasis on safety, protecting the environment and being cost effective.

Paolo Garbi, Sales Director at Laurini presented the project from beginning to end and explained how they dealt with this interesting challenge.
