IPLOCA’s 57th Annual Convention Retrospective

More than 420 members and guests gathered in Izmir, Türkiye from 15 to 19 September 2025 for IPLOCA’s 57th Annual Convention. The five-day event combined two days of business meetings with three days of cultural programmes, offering attendees a balanced mix of professional development and networking opportunities.

Business Programme

The Open General Meetings presented a distinguished line-up of industry speakers addressing critical topics in the energy and pipeline sectors, including pipeline logistics, the German gas grid landscape, energy corridor resilience, post-globalization and energy transition, AI in construction project delivery, energy transition economics, and construction technology innovation. Four awards were presented during the Open General Meetings, recognizing outstanding achievements in Health & Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility, Quality, and New Technologies.

Additional business opportunities included Poster Sessions presented by Cyntech Group, Gulf Energy Information,LCS Cable Cranes GmbH and Premier, as well as ten-minute B2B meetings hosted by A. Lamb Associates Ltd, Allied International S.r.l., Bechtel Energy Inc., Bonatti, Gascontrol Polska, Herrenknecht AG, SICIM S.p.A., Spiecapag, and Steeltrade S.r.l., offering private, one-on-one discussions with interested members.

Social & Cultural Programme

The social programme created memorable experiences through elegant evening events including cocktail receptions, dinners, and dancing. Cultural tours showcased the region’s rich heritage with visits to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Ephesus and Pergamon—as well as the coastal towns of Çeşme and Alaçatı, the wine villages of Şirince and Urla, and Izmir’s vibrant bazaars and museums.
