New Contract awarded to MAX STREICHER S.p.A. by Società Padana Energia S.r.l
MAX STREICHER S.p.A. has received a new EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract for the development of production infrastructure for the wells in Clusters A, B, and C of the Longanesi field, in the municipalities of Bagnacavallo and Lugo, in Ravenna province.
The agreement, signed with Società Padana Energia S.r.l. — a subsidiary of Gas Plus S.p.A. Group, one of Italy’s foremost natural gas producers — marks a significant milestone for the region. The project, spanning 540 days from the handover of the sites, will engage MAX STREICHER S.p.A. throughout 2025 and into 2026. The scope includes modernising facilities to process fluids extracted from reservoirs and ensuring efficient connection to the San Potito gas plant. Key elements of the work involve civil construction, plant upgrades, and the installation of critical equipment for fluid separation and transfer.
With an ambitious target to increase local natural gas production to up to 1 million cubic metres per day, the initiative is set to boost energy self-sufficiency. By delivering locally sourced energy directly to households and businesses across the region, the project marks a key milestone in reinforcing Emilia-Romagna’s energy resilience and driving forward its energy transition.
