Coatec’s history is not only that of a company. It is a journey that began almost thirty years ago — a journey built on resilience, vision, and, above all, people.
The company was founded on 09 June 1996 with a clear mission: to be a reliable and attentive distributor. Year after year, Coatec expanded its activities by listening to its customers, understanding their needs, and, together with its manufacturing partner Alta Altene, adapting to a constantly evolving market. In this way, it has built a solid foundation of trust and expertise.
In 2016, Coatec faced one of the most challenging moments in its history. Its long-standing partner, Alta Altene, entered an irreversible crisis and, after nine months, declared bankruptcy. This event posed a real risk of losing the value that had been created over twenty years.
At that critical juncture, Coatec chose not simply to safeguard its business, but to take responsibility for a legacy. It assumed direct production, inheriting the formulas, the brand, and, most importantly, the trust of its customers. 2016 was not an end – it was a bold new beginning.
From 2016 to the present day, Coatec has achieved remarkable growth, increasing its turnover fivefold. This success has not been the result of aggressive strategies, but rather the natural outcome of consistent work, passion, and the trust placed in us by our partners. Today, Coatec can count on a portfolio of leading customers and distributors, which represents our greatest strength.
This leads us to the essence of our identity and the true purpose of this presentation. For Coatec, financial results are not the ultimate goal, but the natural outcome of our commitment. Our philosophy is based on a simple yet powerful idea: growing together.
