IPLOCA 55th Annual Convention
IPLOCA’s 55th Annual Convention was held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver hotel from 11 to 15 September 2023.
The theme for this year’s Convention was the same as IPLOCA’s new slogan: Together – Delivering Sustainable Energy Infrastructure and presentations at the Open General Meetings focussed on the many aspects of today’s challenges to generate and transport energy in a more environmentally sustainable manner.
During the business programme delegates had the possibility to book B2B meetings with buyers, suppliers, owners and contractors to discuss potential business opportunities; host Poster Sessions; receive updates on business in their geographical regions; and much more.
The cultural tours on Monday and Wednesday took participants to Grouse Mountain; Capilano Suspension Bridge; historic Gastown and its famous landmark, the steam-powered clock; Granville Island; Stanley Park; and the more adventurous went on a sea safari in Zodiacs to Horseshoe Bay, famous for its spectacular scenery and wildlife.
