Members of the WFPIA (World Federation of Pipe Line Industry Associations) met during IPLOCA’s Annual Convention in Sorrento.

Key topics discussed during the meeting included strategies for attracting and retaining young professionals in the industry; promoting the critical role of natural gas and pipeline construction in the energy transition; positive messaging around pipelines, including the ‘Pipelines are Good’ initiative; and facilitating information sharing among associations on safety, environmental issues, and the energy transition.

The next WFPIA meeting is scheduled to take place during the DCA Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona, U.S.A. in February 2025.
