Gulf Companies completes natural gas pipeline route selection study for TPDC

Gulf Companies is proud to announce the successful completion of a natural gas pipeline route selection study for Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC). The study supports the proposed 914 mm (36-inch) Dar es Salaam to Chalinze Transmission Pipeline, which will span approximately 90.5 km, delivering high-pressure natural gas from Kinyerezi to a new Gas Receiving Station near Chalinze.

Using advanced Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, Gulf carefully evaluated four alternative routes. The team applied robust routing principles and thoroughly considered environmental, construction, and safety factors to identify the most optimal path for this critical energy infrastructure. Following the evaluation, Gulf selected the route that featured greater workspace availability, minimized road crossings, enhanced constructability, cost-efficiency, and fewer challenging side slopes compared to other alternatives. This project underscores Gulf Companies’ commitment to engineering excellence and sustainable energy development worldwide.
