MBTC Secures Key Fuel Gas Pipeline EPC Project for Rabigh-2 IPP Expansion
During the first quarter of 2026, MBTC (M. Al-Barghash Trading & Contracting Company) successfully secured the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the Fuel Gas Pipeline serving the Rabigh-2 Independent Power Plant (IPP) – Murjan Expansion Project.
The scope of work encompasses the construction of a 30-inch underground downstream pipeline, installation of a 40-inch jumper/overhead (J/O) pipeline connecting to the new Metering Facility, and the establishment of a dedicated communication link to the Rabigh Distribution Control Office (DCO). The project also includes pipeline crossings at SEC transmission towers, along with the construction and integration of the Filtration System, Metering System, and Metering Building. This award underscores MBTC’s proven capability in delivering fully integrated EPC pipeline solutions, even under complex and demanding operational environments, while maintaining the standards of safety, quality, and execution excellence.
