Continuous Operation of Xionggu Pipeline Auto-matic Welding Complexes in WEP Project in UAE

Xionggu founded in more than 30 years ago as an experienced pipeline automatic welding manufacturer and welding solution provider based in China delivers pipeline automatic welding complexes to China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) for WEP crude oil pipeline project in UAE to construct 400km 48” dia. pipeline with wall thickness 20.8mm-25.4mm.

Each welding complex is configured with one internal welding machine plus five stations of dual torch external welding machines to address the requirement of high productivity and less repair rate of welded joint. The operation of welding complexes has been very successful which consolidates Xionggu’s collaboration with CPECC. The mainline welding is scheduled to complete in the first half of 2026. The WEP project is not only a key strategic project launched by ADNOC to achieve the 2030’s National Vision, but also related to enhancing the UAE’s oil transportation capacity and helping it develop into a new oil trade hub.
