The Technical University of Leoben (Montanuniversität Leoben) is Austria’s leading institution for energy, engineering, and natural resources education. Founded in 1840, it offers internationally recognised programmes in petroleum engineering, geoenergy, mechanical engineering, materials science, environmental technology, and pipeline engineering.

TU Leoben has launched a new MSc in Pipeline Engineering, alongside the professional continuous education programme in Pipeline Engineering. The programme was developed in close cooperation with leading industry partners and combines academic knowledge with practical engineering expertise.
The professional programme includes 12 modules covering pipeline design, materials, construction, welding, corrosion protection, cathodic protection, inspection, integrity management, operation, monitoring, digitalisation, hydrogen and CO₂ transport, regulation, HSE, and project management. Professionals can attend individual modules or complete the full programme.
Through these programmes, Technical University of Leoben prepares students and industry professionals to meet the future challenges of energy transport, infrastructure reliability, decarbonisation, and the energy transition.
