Gascontrol Polska Delivers Mobile LNG Backup Supply in Legnica

Recently, Gascontrol Polska executed a demanding, short-term LNG backup supply project for two reduction and metering stations belonging to the local distribution system operator in Legnica, Poland. The work was carried out as part of planned switching operations associated with a newly constructed high-pressure gas pipeline.

Because both stations are responsible for supplying natural gas to critical points across the region, maintaining uninterrupted operation was paramount. This specialized operation relied on fully mobile systems for LNG transport, regasification, and physical parameter adjustment tailored to meet the exact inlet specifications of the receiving stations. Key components behind the operation included Mobile Regasification Units with capacities of 300 m³/h and 1500 m³/h, backed by seamless logistics and continuous cryogenic tanker deliveries. The entire process was conducted under round-the-clock, 24/7 supervision by Gascontrol Polska’s experienced engineering and technical personnel.

This achievement underscores the high potential of mobile LNG technology, supported by Gascontrol Polska’s fleet of 18 mobile tanks, 10 stationary tanks, and auxiliary equipment capable of delivering gas flows from 0 to 5,000 m³n/h at pressures ranging between 1 kPa and 1 MPa. Liquefied natural gas proves to be an ideal, reliable solution for emergency and temporary backup supplies, effectively safeguarding regional energy security.
