Gascontrol Polska Engaged for Warsaw Pipe Project
Gascontrol Polska has been engaged by contractor Budimex to construct the Warsaw Pipe Natural Gas Pipeline (Rembelszczyzna – Mory). The project will be located in the Mazovian Voivodeship and the investor is gas transmission operator Gaz-System S.A.
The scope of the works consists of the construction of 28.5 km of DN700 MOP 8,4MPA natural gas pipeline including among others: linear welding and tie-ins, preparation of pipeline sections to be installed with trenchless methods (HDD, Direct Pipe and microtunelling), earth works, dewatering, pipe laying, and the installation of more than 5000 pipeline weights.
In addition to the pipeline section, Gascontrol is to deliver and install valve stations and natural gas pressure metering and a regulating station. Implementation of the project will improve energy security in terms of gas supplies to the region, allowing further development of the Warsaw area by creating the possibility to connect to the gas infrastructure by the industrial and private sectors, to reduce and equalise a lot of current pipeline infrastructure and guarantee safe operation. Project completion is scheduled for 2025, whereas Gascontrol Polska is to finish the entrusted scope by September 2024.
