Introducing the new Frontier™ 400X Pipe diesel engine driven welder/generator, Lincoln Electric’s next generation machine delivers welding innovation to the pipeline spread. With an industry-first 7 inch (17.5 cm), field-tested and impacted-rated digital display, the Frontier 400X Pipe is the new benchmark of machine control – including digital process set up, memory presets, maintenance reminders, and optional security PIN. The all-new Frontier 400X Pipe also comes embedded with DigFX™ technology, a Lincoln Electric innovation that provides the classic DC-generator arc characteristic that pipeline welders know, with the added ability to fine-tune the arc to adapt to user preference or application needs.
In addition, the Frontier 400X Pipe delivers true multi-process capabilities to the pipeline – allowing operators to use one machine for SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), DC TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and Carbon-Arc Gouging, along with direct connections for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) wire feeders and mechanised orbital equipment. The Frontier 400X Pipe also delivers the latest advancements in operator-focused technology, including CrossLinc® Technology for superior at-the-arc welding control, embedded Auto-Stop/Start Technology to help reduce fuel costs and engine wear, and 11kW of 1/3 phase auxiliary power to run whatever tools are needed on
the jobsite.
