SICIM secures framework agreement for Mexico Area 1 development
SICIM announces the award of a framework agreement with Eni Mexico for multidisciplinary works in the development of Mexico Area 1, a key milestone in the company’s long-term business strategy in the country. With over 15 years as a leading EPC contractor in Mexico’s energy sector, SICIM continues to play a central role in supporting major infrastructure projects.
Under this framework agreement, continuous Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services are delivered for onshore and offshore infrastructure within the Sureste Basin. The scope entails facility improvements, modifications, new installations, and decommissioning activities, all aligned with Eni’s development plan for Area 1. This area includes the Amoca, Miztón, and Tecoalli fields, and covers approximately 67.2 square kilometres with water depths ranging from 10 to 40 metres. To date, three work orders have been assigned, two of which have already been completed—each involving around 120 people, 95% of whom are Mexican. This 36-month framework agreement further strengthens SICIM’s presence in Mexico, reaffirming its commitment to local communities through job creation, skills development, and long-term social impact, while continuing to deliver operational excellence.
