Simon Slater, ROSEN Group, Honored with PRCI Distinguished Researcher Award

At this year’s Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) Research Exchange Conference in Orlando, Florida, Simon Slater, a principal engineer at the ROSEN Group, received the Distinguished Researcher Award. This award acknowledges his technical contributions to PRCI and the broader pipeline industry.

Mr. Slater was recognized for his leadership in developing consensus-based engineering requirements for the Emerging Fuels Institute (EFI). This work will support future updates to ASME standards related to the safe and effective transport of emerging and low-carbon fuels, thereby contributing to the industry’s readiness for future fuel systems. The PRCI Distinguished Researcher Award recognizes individuals who make sustained contributions to the technical foundation of the pipeline industry. Mr. Slater has recently expanded his involvement within PRCI by serving as an active member of the Design, Materials, and Construction Committee and the Research Steering Committee. In these roles, he has contributed to collaborative research activities and the development of engineering guidance across the PRCI membership.
