BONATTI – Cuxtal II – Mayakan Natural Gas Transportation System (Mexico)
Bonatti is currently executing the Cuxtal II project for the expansion of the Mayakan natural gas transportation system on behalf of Engie, across the Mexican states of Tabasco, Campeche, and Yucatán. The EPC project includes the construction of approximately 697 km of 20” and 24” pipeline, three new compressor stations, one compressor station upgrade, four new metering stations, and upgrades to three existing ones, along with associated infrastructure.
This project further consolidates Bonatti’s presence in Mexico, where the company has developed a strong track record in the execution of complex energy infrastructure. Construction activities are being carried out in parallel with an existing pipeline, involving significant brownfield works and complex integration with operational assets. Once completed, the project will enhance the system’s transportation capacity, ensuring a stable and reliable energy supply to the region. It will also contribute to strengthening Mexico’s energy infrastructure and supporting local economic development through the involvement of local workforce and suppliers.
