CRC Evans leads innovation to accelerate  low-carbon infrastructure

CRC Evans, a global leader in welding and coating technologies, recently hosted an industry event at its Kintore facility in Scotland focused on advancing low-carbon infrastructure and accelerating the energy transition.

Co-hosted with United Infrastructure, the event, “Challenges, Solutions and Lessons Learned in the Welding of Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Pipelines”, brought together professionals from across the UK energy sector to share insights, innovations, and lessons from real-world projects. Opening the event, Paul McShane, President EMEAA at CRC Evans, highlighted the company’s 90-year history of innovation and emphasised the importance of collaboration in achieving net zero goals. Technical presentations by CRC Evans specialists and United Infrastructure explored advanced welding methods, material innovations, and digital project delivery in hydrogen and carbon capture pipelines.

Attendees also experienced live demonstrations of CRC Evans’ state-of-the-art technology, showcasing how digital solutions and precision engineering are driving safer, more efficient, and sustainable pipeline construction. Craig Roberts, Sales Manager for Renewables and Infrastructure, noted that “the path to net zero cannot be walked alone,” underscoring the power of industry partnerships. The event reaffirmed CRC Evans’ commitment to pioneering reliable, sustainable solutions that enable the global energy transition.
