United Pipeline Systems completes 270 km Tite Liner® installation in Australia
United Pipeline Systems recently completed the internal HDPE lining of two 135 km steel pipelines as part of the Iron Bridge iron ore project in Western Australia.
Each 26” diameter pipeline serves a critical role—one transports magnetite ore concentrate from the mine to the coast, while the other returns recycled water to the mine site for processing operations. Both pipelines were lined with Tite Liner® to handle abrasive slurry and corrosive water conditions common in iron ore operations. United’s crews worked in close coordination with the steel pipeline contractor to meet the mine’s schedule for the first ore delivery to port.
The remote location, extended pipeline length, and exposure to harsh desert heat, bushfires, and monsoonal rains presented additional logistical challenges. United’s experienced field teams safely completed the installation, contributing to the long-term reliability of Iron Bridge’s pipeline infrastructure. This project represents one of the company’s longest continuous Tite Liner® lining installations in the mining sector.
