The upcoming Fall Novel Construction Session will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton – Fontana Park hotel, Lisbon, Portugal from Wednesday to Thursday, 23-24 October 2024. It will be conjointly organised with an HSE Workshop held on Tuesday 22 October.

Agenda
The agenda for both meetings will be available as we get closer to the date of the event.

The format of the Novel session will again focus on new technologies, energy transition and carbon footprint. The session will be split into two days with some technical presentations on Wednesday morning. A workshop will then be held during the afternoon and the audience will be divided into small working groups for brainstorming.

On Thursday technical presentations will continue and the conclusions and results from the workshop will be presented.

Presentation
If you have a subject you would like to present on Wednesday or Thursday morning for the Novel Construction Session, please rapidly submit the title along with a brief outline to Grégoire de Montmollin for consideration.

Registration for the meeting is required and is free of charge. Please complete the below registration form by Friday, 16 August at the latest.

Hotel reservation
The DoubleTree Fontana Park hotel is conveniently located near to the city centre and is only 20  minutes by car from the Lisbon International airport. We have contracted rooms at the following rates:

  • EUR 239.– per night for a King Standard Room, single occupancy, including breakfast & tax
  • EUR 249.- per night for a King Standard Room, double occupancy, including breakfast & tax

To take advantage of these special rates, please complete the hotel reservation form by Friday, 16 August. After this date, room rates and availability cannot be guaranteed by the hotel.

We suggest you make your hotel reservation to arrive on Tuesday to allow a prompt start on Wednesday morning.
