Gascontrol Polska hosts successful 9th ENERGAS Conference

Gascontrol Polska together with Silesian University of Technology delivered the 9th edition of ENERGAS Technical and Scientific Conference entitled High-Pressure Gas Pipelines: New Technologies, Specialised Works, Services, and Equipment for Gas Network Infrastructure.

The event, held from 29 to 31 January, attracted more than 150 professionals from the natural gas industry. The conference was divided into several sessions. The first session focused on developing the natural gas market in Poland, with a strong focus on biomethane and hydrogen. The speakers presented a programme for the construction of CNG and LNG refuelling stations, as well as modern solutions for biomethane and hydrogen equipment. The possible use of ammonia as a fuel for gas turbines was also discussed.

The second session focused on state-of-the-art technology within the gas industry, namely metering systems, pressure regulation, pressure vessels, fuel gas heating for heavy duty turbines in CCGT applications, deep gas purification, valve actuation and control solutions for problematic installations. In another session, speakers talked about pipeline maintenance issues. One of the most interesting parts of the conference was the workshop on the latest methods for grid inspection – particularly for detecting potential leaks – involving AI tools.
