Qapqa Awarded Contract for Automatic Welding Services on ADNOC P5 Habshan Sour Service Pipeline Project

Qapqa has been awarded the automatic welding scope as a specialized subcontractor to CAT International for the ADNOC Gas P5 Habshan Development Project in the United Arab Emirates. The project forms part of ADNOC’s strategic investment in expanding critical sour service gas infrastructure, supporting the UAE’s long-term energy security and production objectives.

The welding scope includes approximately 20 km of 48-inch carbon steel pipeline (WT 23.83 mm) utilizing Qapqa PWT Auto XCS welding stations; and 36-inch CRA-clad pipeline (API 5L X52 + Alloy 825, WT 9.7 + 3 mm) utilizing Qapqa Q-Arc automatic GTAW system. The project involves stringent technical requirements associated with sour service applications and corrosion-resistant alloy materials. Safety remains a key priority throughout project execution, with a strong focus on qualified personnel, preventive equipment maintenance, continuous process monitoring and safe working practices. These measures contribute to safe, reliable, and efficient pipeline construction in one of the region’s most demanding operating environments.
